1. There is no end to the number of important but poorly funded global health research projects planned or ongoing, many could benefit a lot from a talented student volunteer! Consider your skills and interests, and be understanding that faculty investigators have very limited time and are choosing to invest that time in you when you contact them asking to learn more and get involved. If you think you would need substantial coaching and direction to be involved in this project it may not be the best fit.
